About Me
Hi, I'm Kayden Mayhew but I told you that already on the Homepage. As previously mentioned I’m a passionate web designer and developer from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I aim to make the internet a user-friendly and appealing place.
I enjoy creating websites that are visually engaging, modern, and thoughtfully designed. My process involves sketching, building wireframes, and iterating concepts until I'm proud of what I created. My goal is to craft designs that not only look great but also inspire developers to bring them to life whether it's using HTML and CSS or a content management system. As a developer myself, I’m always excited to do exactly that.
As a recent graduate from NAIT, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to grow and expand my skill set. Throughout my studies, I worked with a variety of coding languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and React, as well as content management systems like WordPress and Joomla. Spending many hours debugging code and learning that sometimes it is that missing semicolon that is causing the whole thing to blow up.
I’ve also gained experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. This allowed me to explore both sides of the web; designing ideas visually and then bringing them to life through code.
Along the way, my classes helped me build important professional skills like problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. After all, when you’re staring at code for hours trying to figure out why something isn’t working, attention to detail becomes a survival skill.
I’m driven by the idea that the internet should be both functional and visually appealing. Through creative design and clean, effective code, I strive to build websites that people enjoy using and exploring.
